About Us

The California Coastal Rose Society (CCRS) is located in Carlsbad, California (northern portion of San Diego County). We are dedicated specifically to saving the genetics of rare and endangered rose cultivars by locating, securing, multiplying and returning these plants to commerce through both our annual auction and our members who own rose nurseries. We have regularly scheduled meetings and "hands on" workshops where we perform division, rooting and grafting of these plants and where we instruct our own members, other ARS Society members and the interested general public in these methods. We also conduct an annual Rose Exhibition to familiarize the general public with roses and discuss rose horticulture.

Our yearly Auction raises money to pay for the Rose Show and other educational materials. It is our Society's sole fund raising opportunity.
